04.20.2022 BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
   

Please see below for a summary of the Board of Trustees meeting that took place on April 20. The Board meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month. Agendas are posted online in advance of every meeting.

Oath of Office

 

Kaydee Fisher, Katie Soles, and Lewis Gregory took their Oath of Office to serve four-year terms on the Town of Fraser Board of Trustees. Fisher and Soles are returning Board members and Gregory is new to the Board. The Trustees also showed appreciation for outgoing Trustee Andy Miller for his service to the community.

Appointment Of The Mayor Pro-Tem

The Town Board appointed Eileen Waldow as Mayor Pro-Tem. Waldow is currently serving as Mayor Pro-Tem and the appointment continues her role for another two years.

Municipal Appointments 

Resolution 2022-04-04


The Board of Trustees appointed the following:

  • Antoinette McVeigh as Town Clerk

  • Kent Whitmer as Town Attorney

  • Rob Clemens as Town Treasurer

  • Ronald W. Carlson as Municipal Judge

  • Thad Renaud as Alternate Municipal Judge

Camber Brewing Special Event Permit Application

 

The Board of Trustees approved a special event permit application from the event organizers who would like to close the alley south of the brewery building to erect a music stage. The alley will not be used to consume alcoholic beverages, these beverages will remain on the licensed premises. The event will take place on April 30 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Grant Agreement For Acquisition of Victoria Village 

Resolution 2022-04-07

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Division of Housing awarded the Town of Fraser approximately $3 million in grant funds through the Operation Turnkey (OTK) Grant Program for the acquisition of the Victoria Village subdivision for the development of affordable housing. The Board approved a resolution that allows the Town Manager to sign the grant agreement to expedite funding.

Authorizing The Town Manager To Sign Bridge Loan Documents

The grant funding from the Division of Housing referenced above will not be awarded in time for the scheduled closing date of May 20. The Board approved a resolution to empower the Town Manager to sign financial documents related to loan agreements to fund the purchase of Victoria Village. These funds will be repaid by the DOLA grant.

Intergovernmental Agreement Establishing Fraser Valley Housing Partnership 

Resolution 2022-04-08

 

The Board of Trustees approved an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between Winter Park, Fraser, Granby, and Grand County to form a new entity called the Fraser River Valley Housing Partnership. The multijurisdictional housing authority is the result of extensive conversations among community leaders around the most effective way to address the valley's affordable housing needs. The Housing Partnership will be a separate, independent entity guided by a Board of Directors with representation from all participating communities. The Housing Partnership plans to ask voters for a sustainable funding source on the November ballot.
