We have two important calls to action on Sunday, May 1.

On Sunday, May 1st, Philoptochos requests your participation in two events:

FEED THE HUNGRY @ FOCUS Minnesota
We need 7 more people to make either meatloaf, cheesy potatoes, or green bean casserole and deliver it to church on Saturday or Sunday (by 1pm), and 3 people to either help in person at church or at FOCUS. ELECT CONVENTION DELEGATES @ 11:45 in the Terrace Room
Members, please come to a brief meeting in the Terrace Room at 11:45am on Sunday, May 1, to nominate and elect up to three delegates to the National Philoptochos Conference in NYC from July 3-7.

Thank you for helping feed the hungry, and for giving our chapter a voice nationally at the convention.

2022 Bake Sale Prep Begins on May 17!
The 2022 Taste of Greece is scheduled for September 9-11, and Philoptochos is running the Bake Sale. Our baking sessions start on May 17!

One of the missions of Philoptochos is "to promote the Greek Orthodox Faith and traditions, in accordance with its doctrines, canons, discipline, divine worship, usages and customs." With that in mind, you are invited to our final sacred baking workshop:

Artoclasia | Blessing of Five Loaves
Saturday, May 21, 11am-3pm

All parishioners are welcome to attend. The workshop will be led by Toni Bazakos. Register at the Philoptochos table during the social hour or contact Toni at 612-554-7861 or georg310@umn.edu. There is no cost to attend.

Saturday, May 14, 6pm: Ladies Night Out
Come to the home of Dena Tortorelis for fun and fellowship...no agenda! This is for all women of the parish, not only Philoptochos members. Bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Philoptochos will provide the beverages.

Tuesday, May 24, 5:30pm: Spring Finale Dinner and Meeting
Join us for our final gathering before summer! We'll have a delicious meal, discuss upcoming Philoptochos plans, and get your ideas, too. RSVP at our table in the social hour or by calling the church office, 612-825-9595.
