Dear PVUMC Family,

“And the Lord said to him, ‘I have heard your prayer and your plea, which you have made before me’” (1 Kings 9: 3a).
God answers our prayers always. God never closes God’s eyes nor ears, but God listens to us and answers our prayers. There are three answers of God to our prayers. First, “yes.” God can respond to our request right away with “yes,“ because it is what we need now. Second, “no.” God answers our prayers with “no,” because what we request can harm us. The last but not the least, “wait.” God knows the right timing for our lives always, so even when we ask God now, God can say, “wait.” The truth is that God never abandons our prayers. God listens to our prayers, and God is fulfilling God’s plan and will through our prayers. That’s why we have to seek the Kingdom of God and God’s righteousness first, then all things we need will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). Let’s keep praying to God. God listens to us and answers us with love and grace.

This coming Sunday will be the first Sunday of May. We will do the Food-Drive Ministry. Please come with food to donate, so that we will share love and grace of our Lord with our neighbors. Also, we will have Holy Communion this coming Sunday. Please plan to join our service to take the body and blood of Jesus Christ. By participating in Holy Communion, we will confirm our faith that we are living in Jesus and Jesus is living in us.

I really appreciate your offering to the Lord through our church. Because of your support and offering, our church can continue God’s mission and ministry. You can use our online offering linked below, you can bring your offering to the church on Sunday, or you can send your offering to our church. I believe that offering is a way to store up our treasure in heaven (Matthew 6: 19~).

Below are the links for our online ministry for this week.

Bible Study- Book of Isaiah: Tue 7PM
Congregational Prayer Meeting: Wed 7PM

Through praying to God, we talk to God. Through reading the word of God (the Bible), we listen to God. Talking and listening means communication. So, through our spiritual disciplines (Bible Reading Challenge, 1 Min Noon-Prayer), we communicate with God. God never abandons our prayers, but God listens to us and gives us the best always. So, we pray without anxiousness but with thanksgiving, because the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4: 6-7). Amen.

Love in Christ,
Eugene
