Dear EASA E&W Chapter Members and Friends, 

 
I am very happy to meet with many EASA members in Berlin on the 9th of May, the day before the important CWIEME,  with whom we partner. I want to thank again our important speakers and sponsors for their valued contribution. We have a great program with good conferences on motor insulation, and shaft current - but also important workshops on market and industry trends, training,  and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We are happy to see some new initiatives in the world in terms of sustainability. For example, the European Union has developed a new production model with Industry 5.0. They want "to complement the existing Industry 4.0 Approach by specifically putting research and innovation at the service of the transition to a sustainable, human-centric and resilient European Industry. Industry 5.0 provides a vision of an industry that aims beyond efficiency and productivity as the sole goals, and reinforces the role and contribution of industry to society”. 

We can expect more initiatives like that in the world, and our rotating machines repair and maintenance industry can deliver a lot on those very important aspects. 

Looking forward to meeting you in Berlin, but also in St Louis at EASA International convention at the end of June and at our European & World Chapter convention in Athens at the beginning of October 2022.
