Public Invited to a May Day Celebration at the Chateau de Morès State Historic Site

Medora, N.D. – The public is invited to a May Day Celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. (MT) on Saturday, May 7, at the Chateau de Morès State Historic Site in Medora. The event is free and open to all ages. Please register each person in your party at shsnd.eventbrite.com.

Participants can enjoy an open house tour of the Chateau, Maypole decorating, May Day flower crafts, DIY May Day baskets, and historical games. The afternoon will conclude with an egg hunt on the lawn of the Chateau, where participants can fill their May Day basket with candy and treats. Refreshments will be available.

In the event of inclement weather, the program will move indoors to the Interpretive Center. This program is sponsored by the State Historical Society of North Dakota, Medora Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Chateau de Morès, North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame, our Medora neighbors who donated eggs and prizes, Walmart of Dickinson, and Oneok, Belfield.

The Chateau de Morès State Historic Site is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. For more information, call 701.623.4355. The Chateau de Morès Interpretive Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (MT).
