Greeting Soaring Heights Families and Friends,

This week has been filled with melodies from our music programs. The First and Second Graders shared their musical skills with the community and Erie High School hosted the Erie Choir Festival where our Soaring Heights students did a beautiful job.

Teacher Appreciation Week is next week, May 2- May 6.  Our amazing PTO has put together a fun week (see below for details).  Please help us celebrate our wonderful teachers and their accomplishments.  We couldn't be more proud of our staff.

Fifth and Sixth grade track teams finished their season on Monday with many team and individual successes. Seventh and Eighth grade students competed in their final meet at Longmont High School.  There will be an end of season wrap up for the entire team (5th - 8th) on Thursday, May 5th from 3:30 - 4:30 in the Middle School gym.   We are so proud of our athletes and their accomplishments.

CMAS testing wrapped up this week. Thank you for your support in this important process for our school and district.  iReady end-of-year testing begins next week for both elementary and middle school students.  Please ensure student iPads are fully charged each day.

Please remember on May 4th we will have our last late start Wednesday of the year.  Please note the arrival time for students is 10:45am.

On May 6th, Fifth grade field day will be at Frederick High School, Middle school will have their field day on campus in the afternoon.  Remember our wonderful PTO will also be hosting our Soaring Heights Carnival which begins at 5:30pm.  Please see the volunteer link below and sign up to help with the event.

As we begin to prepare for next year and make class lists (in elementary school only), please take a moment to complete the Placement Survey below.  While we don't take specific teacher requests, your feedback will help us chose the best learning environment for your child.

The month of May will be full of many activities and end-of-year celebrations.  Please look for reminders and communication on the details for all these various events. This has been a prosperous year and we thank you for your teamwork and communication.

Student Placement Survey

We do not take requests for specific teachers; however, your input does carry significant weight and will help to ensure we find a good match for your child. Placements are based on a variety of factors including: student need, balanced classes, and input from parents and teachers.

As we begin to place students in classes for next year, it would be helpful for you to describe the learning needs of your child. Is there anything you would like the school to know about how your child learns or any special circumstance we should be aware of? Please complete this Student Placement Survey.

Please submit your form no later than, Monday, May 9th.

2022-23 Busing Request Form

Dear St. Vrain Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as St. Vrain Valley Schools prepares for the 2022-2023 school year. The Transportation Department is committed to continuously providing the best possible service for our students attending classes within the district. To this end, each year we require that students desiring transportation services complete an application for busing. The application window is currently available and remains open throughout the academic year. Parents and Guardians will be notified when an application has been processed and a seat has been reserved.

While we make every effort to accommodate as many eligible riders as possible, transportation services are provided on a space-available, and first-come, first-served basis.

Please click on the link below for Step-by-Step instructions for the Bus Rider Application which also includes a link to our Bus Rider Application.  Please contact us at 303-702-7530 if you have additional questions.

In addition to the virtual ceremony, we will be hosting a Dinner Night Out on the same evening at several restaurants in the area. (See the invitation for participating restaurants.) All funds raised by sponsorships and dinner night out support scholarships for seniors in our school district.

Road Construction on County Road 5: Road Closure

Beginning Monday, March 14, County Road 5 will be closed to all traffic north of the Soaring Heights main entrance. Please click here for more information from the Town of Erie and a map of the impacted area.

Both entrances to Soaring Heights will remain open; however, they will only be accessible for cars traveling north on County Road 5, or traveling east on the newly opened Flora View Dr.  Cars exiting the parking lots will not be allowed to turn north.  If needed, Erie PD will be on-site to assist with traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

***Please use caution and mind the speed limit of 25 mph on Flora View Dr.  The Town of Erie has observed vehicles traveling at speeds beyond the speed limit.  Please help keep everyone safe during this construction phase and observe speed limits***
