Dear bereaved parents and those who support them,

If you are new to Bereaved Parents of Madison: welcome. We are glad you have found us and are so sorry you are here. We hope you find this newsletter helpful in some small way on your grief journey. Bereaved Mother's Day — and Mother's Day, hot on it's heels —  can make the month of May bittersweet. Read on for an in person Bereaved Mother's Day event happening on Sunday, self-care for Mom and more.

Pop-up In-Person Support Group for Bereaved Mother's Day
Sunday, May 1, 1:00 - 2:30 pm, at Panera Bread on University Ave.

Bereaved Mother’s Day was started in 2010 by Carly Marie Dudley after her son Christian was stillborn. She wanted to help heal the hearts of other grieving mothers and let them know that they aren’t alone. It's a day dedicated to women who feel overlooked on the traditional Mother’s Day each year.

In honor of Bereaved Mother's Day, let's gather in an impromptu, casual environment to talk and share our babies. This event is open to moms and dads (no children or babies please). We will try to reserve the separated room for privacy if it's available.

Feel free to bring your photos, photo books, or memory items. We would love to see them 🧡
