Lunch Information
TFA partners with FLIK Independent School Dining to ensure that our students will enjoy morning and lunch dining options in The Royal Eatery. You do not need to pre-order lunch for your student. If a student plans to participate in the FLIK lunch program for the day they will simply go through the lunch line to make their selections and pay with their prepay account, which is set up in FACTS.
To assist families with Prepay Account set-up, lunch details, and Q&A, we have updated our lunch webpage to serve as a one-stop-shop for all of your dining needs! Visit this page at https://thefirstacademy.org/about/lunch/ to:
- Add funds to your Prepay Accounts
- View the upcoming lunch menus for all divisions
- Watch the instructional video (https://youtu.be/ZuGf9R0IvLY) with steps on how to add money to your Prepay Account from a desktop or mobile device, as well as view dining menus and more
- Review the lunch Q&A section to answer any questions that you may have
Start off the 2022-2023 school year with healthy, fresh, wonderful tasting meals for your student/s now. Don’t delay in setting up your Prepay Account and learning more about TFA’s new lunch service today!

Updates from the Clinic
If the Admissions Office has not received the Immunization DH-680 and/or Physical DH-3040 Florida state forms for your student, please make sure you scan/email them to admissions@thefirstacademy.org. Please make sure your immunizations are up to date and that the form you turn in has not already expired. Remember, several immunizations are required for entry into kindergarten and the TDap immunization is required for entry into 7th grade. Be sure your student has this immunization prior to the first day of school. Contact your family physician or nearest health department as soon as possible to receive the proper form or to schedule an appointment before school starts. Students that have not turned in a completed Florida Certification of Immunization Form(DH-680), in accordance with the state law, may not be allowed to attend classes until the requirements are met.
Severe allergies
Please make sure to contact the school nurse @ clinic@thefirstacademy.org if your child has any severe allergies. We want to make sure we have documentation for the teachers, health clinic and have alerts put into our computer system to keep your student safe. You may stop by the clinic on the first day of school to sign paperwork and bring in any necessary medications. Epi-Pens, Auvi Q's and Benadryl can be kept in the school clinic for the entire school year. Also, any medication that your student may need throughout the school year (Tylenol, Advil, allergy medication etc.) can be stored in the clinic for your child's use as long as it is brought into the clinic and the proper paperwork is filled out by the parent to store it there.
Lost and Found
Make sure to label all sweatshirts, outerwear, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc. with first and last names before you start school. The lost and found will get your child's lost item back to them only if it is labeled! Every year we have an enormous amount of items that go unclaimed and not returned to students because there is no name on the item! Label in a visible place with a Sharpie!

Preschool & Lower School Information
Lower School, in conjunction with the Royal Store, is offering a new convenience to families for the 2022-2023 school year by making prepackaged school supplies available for purchase for each grade level. These grade-level specific supply packs contain most of the items on our Lower School Supply Lists for the upcoming school year. By purchasing the packs, you will save both time and money. Supply packs will be delivered straight to the classrooms for your child and will be waiting for you at Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 8th.
There are items for each grade level that are NOT included in the pre-packaged supply kits that families will need to purchase on their own. These items are designated on the 2022-2023 Lower School Supply Lists.
Click HERE to purchase your child’s supply pack today. Supply packs should be ordered for your child’s rising grade level for the 2022-2023 school year.
Deadline to order is May 30th.
There will be an additional sales period that will run from May 31st through June 26th but there will be an additional 10% late order fee added for orders placed within the later sales window.
For a full view of the grade level supply lists, click on the links below. These lists include both the items included in the supply packs as well as those that will need to be purchased by families separately from the supply packs.

Washington DC parent meeting: click for a recording of the meeting and the slides that we reviewed. Also, please complete this DC Interest Form, whether you intend for your student to participate or not. It will allow Dr. Holter to communicate with those who are interested (and avoid bothering you if you are not interested!).
