EMILY’S ORDINATION & TESTIMONY SERVICE

I am delighted to say that Carole McSheen has offered to coordinate the arrangements. She would appreciate knowing any arrangement you are making and if transport is required. Carole can be contacted via email:prisca1934@hotmail.com

We are delighted that Revd Emily Young will be received into Full Connexion and Ordained during the Methodist Conference which takes place in Telford from the 23rd to 30th June Emily will be ordained at St Andrew’s Church, Shifnal - 4.00pm Sunday 26 June 2022. Tickets can now be booked online using the following link:

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-methodist-conference-telford-2022-tickets-299110486517

Prior to Ordination is Revd Emily’s Testimony Service. Again we are hoping that many people will travel to attend this. Please scroll down to see the poster for this

Please do speak to others in your congregation or across the Circuit so that we can enable as many as possible to be there to support Revd Emily. It may only be possible to book four tickets at a time or per person. I suggest therefore it may be appropriate to book in groups of four. I have just booked four places and have three tickets available for use by others. Please let me know if you would like one of them. It is of course very important that we use all the tickets we book! Once we have some idea of numbers needing transport, we can consider hiring a minibus or coach.

A Mission Action Prayer for Sutton Park Circuit 2022

Gracious God

We are thankful for our churches and the love which we share.

We thank God for our many differences and the essence of our faith which holds us together

Bind us together in being a united community.

We pray for

o unity and reconciliation among your people

o a desire to pray together more

o to embrace one another and to look out for one another

o to be supportive of one another, especially those with need and

o to be an expression of God’s church in love to all

We pray for encouragement,

for God to enable us to listen and to hear each other and

to put God first instead of ourselves

We pray for wisdom, knowledge and understanding

to see the good in the other, be channels of peace,

embrace diversity and know we are all ONE in Christ.

In Jesus mighty name.

Amen with thanksgiving

CONFIDENTIAL WASTE SHREDDING

Commercial Shredding Sacks - What Goes In Them

By now you should have received your 'Topwood’ shredding sacks as we gather confidential waste from around the Circuit.

Please fill them up to the line, or up to 15kg, whichever happens first, and secure them with a strong cable tie.

Remember that you should not be putting any Safeguarding documents in the sack - these belong to Gerald Peel and should be passed to him.

For everything else, please see the attached web page:

https://www.methodist.org.uk/for-churches/office-holders/archivists/

or document:

https://www.methodist.org.uk/media/21513/retention-schedules-12-april-2021-v4.pdf

The sacks should then be brought to the Circuit Meeting on June 7th for collection and shredding.

Many thanks,

Revd Stephen Froggatt
