- Teaches breathing techniques that increase energy and decrease anxiety providing effective coping strategies for stress
- Increases body awareness as we explore our anatomy and benefits of the poses

- Nurtures self-esteem, confidence, and acceptance

- Builds a foundation for lifelong well-being
- It’s non-competitive and recognises each child’s unique way of absorbing and integrating information
- Provides techniques to quiet the mind and sharpen focus and concentration
- Endorses healthy choices and lifestyle
- Aids better sleep
- Allows children to learn to respect themselves, others and the world around them; encouraging the acceptance of differences

In Knowsley, there are over 300 children looked after, and the number of children coming into care continues to increase. The Borough needs more households to foster children and young people so that every child who cannot live with his/her own family gets the care which he/she needs.
Find out more from the comfort of your own home by joining the Fostering team at one of their Information Event Webinars from 6.00pm to 7.00 pm on Wednesday 11 May 2022 and again from 6.00pm to 7.00pm on Wednesday 18 May 2022.

Wellbeing and Live Simply
|
|
|
Living Simply can help us to put life in perspective.
This week we are thinking about water.
In your homes try to:
• Switch off the taps and do not leave them running
• Shorten the time that you spend in the shower
• Use “grey” water to feed your garden plants
• Put your washing machine on a shorter cycle
Have a go and “Live Simply.”

Attendance - Reporting Absences
|
|
|
Reporting ALL absences is even more important at the moment. This helps us to reduce the risk of Covid-19 spreading.
Parents please make sure you follow our procedures carefully.
Please email Admin@smaaa.info on the first day of ANY absence. You may also telephone school on 0151 477 8400
Tell our admin staff the reason for the absence, and when you expect your child to return to school.
We thank you for you help and support with this important matter.
Please note:
All unexplained absences will be looked at by our Attendance Lead, & possibly the School Attendance Service, so it's really important that you report all absences by 10am on the first day of absence!
Remember if your child is off school due to illness, hospital or dental appointments, you must also send an email with a copy of the medical letter / proof to Admin@smaaa.info
We cannot authorise any absence without proof!
|
|
|
|
|
If your child needs to be off school for reasons other than illness you must make a request using the following form. School will decide if the request will be authorised and send you a letter.
Any pupil having an absence without making a request will be classed as unauthorised – so it’s really important that you inform us!
