Bowel cancer awareness month. Bowel Cancer , also known as colon, rectal or colorectal cancer, can occur in both men and women. Usually, bowel cancer affects people 60 and up, however younger people have been known to develop bowel cancer.

Almost 2,500 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer in Ireland every year. It is also the second most common cause of cancer death in Ireland.
