Faith Diary
These week’s Gospel speaks to us of Love. We all give and receive many different types of love in our lives, to our parents, siblings, spouses, children, friends - to all those people who make our lives rich and fulfilling, but in only a very few of those relationships are we likely to give and receive the kind of Love John speaks of here. Real, transforming, giving and forgiving Love, that ‘gives and doesn’t count the cost‘ and seeks always the other’s good, not our own. This is the kind of Love that Jesus offers, and expects from, each one of us, the kind of Love that if it were truly felt and put into practise by us all, would transform not only our individual lives, but the whole world.

My Experience At Young Shakespeare
It was a very exciting experience because it made me feel like I was one of the actors. I enjoyed it very much and the two male actors made it very funny and entertaining. I also loved the fact it had different genres such as: drama, comedy, romance, tragedy and so on. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and wonderful experience for us all.

When I got to the Shakespeare play, I felt happy. It was such a wonderful experience to be outside the classroom and in a theatre. When the show started, we were all in stitches as the actors were making us laugh. The play (Romeo and Juliet) was set-in modern-day Britain, and it had a funny side to it. In the end it was very sad because Romeo and Juliet died.

My time at young Shakespeare was very enjoyable. The lovely people at Young Shakespeare first told us about Shakespeare and then preformed Romeo and Juliet very nicely for us. The play was very funny and quite informative for us. They also avoided any graphic violence such as when Juliet killed herself, they made it obvious she had just put the knife under her armpit. I thought it was a great play.

New School Records!
Congratulations to Martin who broke the Y5 Boys High Jump record this week. The record was 1.18m (held by Tom Newing 2019) and Martin cleared 1.19m!
Another School Athletics Record was broken this week. Daniel broke the Year 6 Boys Shot Put record, throwing the shot 7m 45cm. The previous record was 6m 91cm (held by Mateo Isola Lopez in 2015) and Daniel equalled, then bettered this record twice more, to achieve the new school record. Huge congratulations to Daniel!
