Please return your textbooks, novels and calculators to the Textbook room early to avoid long lines.
Elevator Keys
If you checked out an elevator key and do not need it anymore, please return it to the Main Office ASAP. Parents, please ask you student about keys if they had an injury. A notice will be going out soon regarding the return the keys or you have to pay the $5 fine if the key lost.
YEARBOOK ORDERS & DISTRIBUTION

Year book distribution for ALL grade levels @ lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 17 & 18th.
- You MUST have a photo ID to pick up your yearbook.
- We do not distribute books to anyone but the student on our purchase record.

We hope you enjoy reading and having peers sign your yearbook! However, please remember that yearbooks should not be out during class time unless you have explicit teacher permission!

Bearcat Spring Cleaning Clothes Drive!
All this month, donate lightly used clothes, fabrics, and shoes. Drop your items in our two green bins: BIN #1: Behind the PAC (facing the school parking lot); BIN #2: To the left of the Biotech Building. All donations are given to families in need to create clothing for their loved ones or to support their businesses as they upcycle the items into new products! Sponsored by your SMHS Green Team.

If you have been in close contact with a positive case who has COVID, please call (650) 558-2228 and email studenthealthservices@smuhsd.org.
Students who test positive at School
- Parent/Guardian is immediately called and explained the following
- Student may return on day 6 with a negative test, no symptoms
- Student may return on day 11, no test required, no symptoms
- Students who test positive, do not need to test again for 90 Days
- Student will be sent home with a test kit, so they do not come to school before they are cleared.
- Students can upload their results from the home kit to: covidresults@smuhsd.org
- Athletes and participants in extracurriculars who have tested positive can return to class with the above guidelines. HOWEVER, they cannot participate in their sport or activity for 10 days, unless fully masked at all times during the sport or activity.
Mask Mandate Reminder
Please wear your mask when indoor school buildings, when on public transportation and when riding the school bus. We have N-95 masks in the Main Office, come and get one if you need one.
COVID TESTING
COVID testing will be on Monday/Thursday this week from 8am-2pm

- We will continue to test unvaccinated students in extracurricular activities Teams and groups are welcome to continue to test if any of the following occur:
- There is an identified need or upcoming event or performance that recommends it
- Are scheduled for an overnight field trip or attending a venue that requires it
- If a team or group has a case or an exposure we will offer/recommend testing
Textbook Room- The textbook room is open 8am to 3:30pm!
Library Hours- Monday -Thursday: Library will close at 5pm Friday: Library will close at 4:15pm

Llaves de ascensor
Si sacó una llave del ascensor y ya no la necesita, devuélvala a la oficina principal lo antes posible. Padres, pregúntele a su estudiante sobre las llaves si tiene una lesión. Durante todo este mes, dona ropa, telas y zapatos con poco uso. Deje sus artículos en nuestros dos contenedores verdes: BIN #1: Detrás del PAC (frente al estacionamiento de la escuela); BIN #2: A la izquierda del Edificio Biotech. ¡Todas las donaciones se entregan a familias que necesitan crear ropa para sus seres queridos o para apoyar sus negocios mientras reciclan los artículos en nuevos productos! • Los estudiantes que dan positivo, no necesitan volver a hacer la prueba durante 90 días
• El estudiante será enviado a casa con un kit de prueba, para que no vengan a la escuela antes de que se les autorice.
• Los estudiantes pueden cargar sus resultados del kit para el hogar a: covidresults@smuhsd.org
• Los atletas y participantes en actividades extracurriculares que hayan dado positivo pueden regresar a clases con las pautas anteriores. SIN EMBARGO, no pueden participar en su deporte o actividad durante 10 días, a menos que estén completamente enmascarados en todo momento durante el deporte o la actividad.
PRUEBAS DE COVID
Las pruebas de COVID se realizarán los lunes y jueves de esta semana de 8 a. m. a 2 p. m.

• Continuaremos evaluando a los estudiantes no vacunados en actividades extracurriculares. Los equipos y grupos pueden continuar evaluando si ocurre algo de lo siguiente:
o Hay una necesidad identificada o un próximo evento o desempeño que lo recomienda
o Están programados para una excursión de una noche o asisten a un lugar que lo requiere
o Si un equipo o grupo tiene un caso o una exposición, ofreceremos/recomendaremos pruebas
Sala de libros de texto- ¡La sala de libros de texto está abierta de 8 am a 3:30 pm!
Horario de la biblioteca: de lunes a jueves: la biblioteca cerrará a las 5:00 p. M. Viernes: la biblioteca cerrará a las 4:15 p. M.
