We're 8 years old!

And celebrating quietly . . .

Theses last two years has changed the venue landscape so much, and finding out who's playing where has never been harder. We hope to have a live-music, fundraising event next year, but this year, we're going to clink our champagne glasses, and pat our backs for hanging in there another year.

How you can help keep the calendar going

As Kevin feverishly enters all the streetfairs, festivals and those hard-to-find gigs for the summer months, we're especially in need of your financial support.

Individual support
We rely heavily on individual support. No amount is too small. We appreciate every donation so much. If you would like to show more support, and encourage others to do the same, your name will be listed on the website for gifts of $100 or more.

Corporate support
Sponsorships of more than $200 will have the company name hyperlinked on our site, as well as at the top of one calendar day per week, for 30 days (winter only). Gifts of $300 and $500 unlock more benefits, including hyperlinked logo on the site, newsletter shout-outs, and prime, day-of-the-week sponsorships. Reply here for more details.

Musician support
We are here for musicians as well, whom we advocate for constantly. We would be so grateful if you could take the time to familiarize yourself with the site that is helping you, and then give us a shout-out at all of your gigs now, through the end of June. All you need do is tell folks they can find a comprehensive, live-music calendar, listing all the danceable gigs in the county, including yours, at socodancebeat.com. We won't mind if you keep doing it, but several weeks of the year would make a huge difference for us.

With deep gratitude,
Kevin and Ann Hutchinson

New Horizons Swing Dance Benefit

Feed the homeless by dancing

Saturday, May 21, 6 PM
The New Horizons Swing Band presents an evening of the greatest hits from the swing band era of the 1930s and 1940s. Come listen and tap your toes, or dance the night away. The swing band plays from 7:00 to 9:30, but come at 6:00 for a free dance lesson, taught by Kevin and Ann Hutchinson of Sonoma County Dance Beat.

This is a benefit for the Saturday Breakfast for the Homeless, which the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Santa Rosa, has been providing every Saturday morning for nearly two decades.
