State Representative Lynn Stucky, DVM is a practicing veterinarian who has worked in Denton County and the surrounding counties for almost 40 years. A common-sense conservative, Dr. Stucky is serving his third term in the House of Representatives and has been a member of the Committee on Public Education, Agriculture and Livestock Committee, and the budget-writing Appropriations Committee.
He has also served as Vice-Chair of the County Affairs Committee. Rep. Stucky and his wife Lori have raised 3 children in their 37 years of marriage and are members of Denton Bible Church.
A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Jared was first elected to Texas House District 106, which covers north-central and eastern Denton County, in 2018. During his time in the Legislature, his primary focus has been on border security funding, property tax reform, protecting first responders, securing fundamental rights, and safeguarding pets. Jared was an author on and helped pass legacy conservative bills in 2021 such as Constitutional Carry and Texas
Heartbeat Act - Jared's proudest accomplishment since joining the Texas House. Jared is a member of the Texas House Criminal Justice Reform Caucus, the Texas Cybersecurity Council,
and is a board member of the Texas Conservative Coalition.
Professionally, Jared is the Director of Energy Services at Rapid Power Management, a retail electric brokerage firm headquartered in Carrollton. Jared, his wife Leslie, their three children, and their family dog reside in Frisco. The Pattersons are members of the First Baptist Church of Frisco.
