Fundraising to Commence for Ricardo Annis
Ricardo is Haitian and has received a generous scholarship to study at Strasbourg University in France.  This is an unprecedented opportunity for him because he is the first in his family to go to college.  For him to continue his studies, he needs to prove he has funding for his living expenses - room and board.  Zen Fields is supporting him in this by helping to raise the required money to continue into his second year of college.  If you would like to assist in this endeavor, please make a tax deductible donation here in our PayPal Giving Fund.  100% of donations will go to Ricardo.  We are looking to raise $4000.  Be sure to earmark your donation.

Alternatively, you could send a check to "Zen Fields" at 923 Burnett Ave. Ames, IA 50010.
Giving Fund

Zen Fields as a 501(c)3 has established a "Giving Fund" through PayPal.  This means that 100% of your donations go directly to Zen Fields.  The difference between the Giving Fund account and a regular PayPal account is that with the Giving Fund, Zen Fields will have access to donations at a certain time each month, whereas with the regular account, donations are received immediately albeit with a certain percentage going to PayPal.  Check out the two possibilities here.
I knew nothing about cooking when I came to practice with my teacher, Dai-En Bennage Roshi, so it may be a surprise to learn that much of my fifteen years of direct training (face-to-face) with my teacher took place in the kitchen.

Trauma informed Yoga to support Mental Health

Zen Fields is looking to expand its Trauma Sensitive Yoga program. Many people are riding an emotional roller coaster of aimlessness, anger, anxiety, loss of dreams, and feelings of isolation. In Iowa alone suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth, and opioid related deaths of all ages increased by 36% between 2019 and 2020.  Learn More
