Dementia Action Week
This week marks Dementia Action Week, an awareness campaign run each year by The Alzheimer’s Society. This year’s theme is dementia diagnosis. There are 944,000 people in the UK with Dementia, and this is expected to increase to over one million by 2030 and over 1.6 million by 2050. In Humber and North Yorkshire, it is estimated that 24,539 people have dementia. Of these, only 14,114 have a diagnosis.

Peppy Health - Menopause Support for Staff

On 9 June 12.30-1.30pm, Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership will host an information session which will be attended by a representative from Peppy Health who will be sharing more information about what the app is, how it may be able to help those who use it and they will also be able to answer some of your questions. During this information session they will also go through the process for applying for access to the Peppy Health App which is aimed at people who are currently experiencing significant adverse symptoms due to their menopause or unable to access the required support through the usual route and we will need to prioritise those with the highest clinical need.
