Dear Friends and Fellow Republicans

Removing Social Issues From Discussion in Elections is a horrible idea

John Adams said, “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. Morality and virtue are the foundation of our republic and necessary for a society to be free."

With this being said, there are people running for office who want remove social issues from discussion, and focus primarily on economics.  This is a horrible idea.  We do that and we become Democrat lite.  Democrats have gone from having abortion safe legal and rare to we need more murdering of our unborn.  Democrats have decided that we need to be teaching sex education and gender to kids in kindergarten.  Democrats in Virginia wanted to pass laws making every legal gun owner a criminal.  

Moral issues are what defines us as a people.  We must be the party of pro life, pro family values, pro child, pro 2a, and pro religious liberty.  If we falter at this, then we are dead as a movement, and the USA will continue our slide into an economic morass.

And never forget, legalized abortion is a genocide against African Americans and other "undesirables" - this was the mission statement of Margaret Sanger - the founder of Planned Parenthood. There is a reason that so many PP factories are inside inner cities.  It's where the minorities are.

Great News From Augusta County

Georgia Long of Augusta County, was promoted to the Virginia State Board of Elections.  Georgia has long been an advocate for free and fair elections, and has dedicated much of her life to this cause.  Not to be outdone, Mike Desjadon of Augusta County, who ran for Congress in 2018, was appointed to the State Board of Health. Congrats to both Mike and Georgia.  

News From Lynchburg 

This past weekend, the Lynchburg City Committee held their Candidate Mass Meeting - and their 3 GOP Endorsed City Council Candidates are:  Marty Misjuns, Stephanie Reed, and Larry Taylor.  This is an outstanding ticket that will promote the values of Life Liberty and Limited Government to Lynchburg, which has been smothered by big government these past several years.  While you're no longer in the 6th, you're always in my thoughts and prayers.  

More About Early Voting

It has come to my attention that there is a lot of confusion about early voting in this primary.  With the exceptions of those in Amherst, Bedford, Lynchburg, and a few of you in Roanoke County, each of you currently is in the 6th Congressional District.  We are having a primary between Ben Cline and Merritt Hale on June 21. 
Early voting started on May 6, and will go on until a couple of days before the June 21 primary.  For those of you inside CD 6, here are the local registrar’s offices and how to contact them:

According to Virginia law, each polling place or in this case voter registration office must be open from 8 am to 4 30 pm.  However some voter registration offices may try to close at 4 as those are their normal hours.  Please be there before 4 pm with your ID so that there is no problem in voting.  There will be some early voting on Saturday June 11 and June 18 as well.  But the hours your registrar’s office will be open won’t be as long as a Monday through Friday.
