Organization: Canadian Partnership Against Cancer

The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer's (CPAC)'s Cancer Control Division implements programs and initiatives that deliver on the priorities of the 2019-2029 Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control. The division is comprised of program teams that specialize in all parts of the cancer continuum – prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, clinical care, survivorship and palliative care. 

The Lead, Person-Centred Perspective supports the Cancer Control Division in carrying out projects and initiatives to achieve organizational priorities.  Reporting to the Manager, Person-Centred Perspective, the incumbent will lead the planning and delivery of program/project objectives. As a strong team leader and highly organized professional with proficient time management skills and commitment to collaboration, this position delivers on the tasks of the job while contributing to the Partnership’s overall vision to reduce the burden of cancer on all Canadians.
 

General Responsibilities

  • Ensures effective and proactive internal and external communications in collaboration with partners and stakeholders
  • Leads efforts across the program to develop and monitor project milestones, timelines, budgets, risks and contracts to ensure programmatic objectives and outcomes are met
  • Facilitates the integration of expert advice into program/project work to further project outcomes
  • Actively supports the development of funding agreements and proactively influences direct (and indirect) partners for the achievement of sustainable outcomes
  • Supports partners in establishing project workplans and risk mitigation plans
  • Supports alignment of partner proposals and the Partnership expectations
  • Provides implementation support on pan-Canadian initiatives
