AWTRS CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE AWARDS 2022
The AWTRS has established a scheme to assist AWTRS members in presenting their research at the societies biennial meeting.
Nature of the support
The AWTRS Committee will set the amount of funding each year depending on society finances so the total amount available may vary from year to year. Grants will be available to contribute to cost of registration and travel to attend the upcoming AWTRS 2022 Scientific Meeting to be held from September 12-14, Darling Harbour, Australia (https://www.awtrs.org/awtrs_2022/) .
Eligibility
- The applicant must be
- A full-time postgraduate student currently enrolled at a recognised higher education provider or
- An early-career researcher with their PhD conferred less than 7 years ago (on or after 12 September 2015). Career interruptions such as illness, family and carer responsibilities will be considered if more than the prescribed period has passed since the award of their PhD.
- The applicant and their supervisor must be financial members of the AWTRS. To join or renew your AWTRS membership please go to http://www.awtrs.smalltalkevents.com.au
- The applicant must give evidence of active participation in the meeting (e.g., poster or presentation), and participation should have a substantial wound and/or skin tissue repair association
- Applicants must be willing to provide a report of the conference for the AWTRS newsletter within 1 month of the conference end date.
Applications
Applications must consist of:
1. A CV no longer than 2 pages that must include the following details
- Name of applicant
- Current position (i.e., student, post-doc)
- Institution
- Supervisor
- Education background (highest qualification / date of award / institution and current degree being pursued if applicable
- List of publications
- Grants and awards
2. A brief letter of support from the applicants' supervisor
3. A statement of eligibility covering the above criteria
4. A copy of the submitted conference abstract.
