Matariki Tauranga Moana 2022

Dog registrations 2022/23

Make sure your dog is seen wearing green. Dog registrations are due by Thursday, 30 June 2022. Head to our website to register your dog now.

Mauao closure

To help keep the public safe while a helicopter is used on the maunga, there will be a full closure of Mauao from 5am Wednesday, 8 June until 5pm Thursday, 9 June 2022 (weather dependant). Find out more.

Pilot Bay boat ramp and car park closure

To help maintain safety while works take place on Mauao, there will be a closure of the Pilot Bay boat ramp and car park from 7am Tuesday, 7 June until 5pm Wednesday, 15 June. More information here.

Central city bus interchange

The central city bus interchange is moving to Durham and Wharf Streets from Monday, 13 June 2022. Construction works are under way in preparation for the move. Read more here.

Allowing buildings of up to 6 storeys in walking distance of town centres like Bethlehem Shopping Centre, is on the table for Tauranga. Find out more about the upcoming City Plan change to enable housing supply.

International Rugby is coming to Tauranga

Get the whānau together this Queen’s Birthday (Monday, 6 June) and head to the Tauranga Domain to see the Black Ferns take on Australia, and Canada battle it out with USA. Tickets only $10.

Jazzed up for Jazz this June

With over 175 performances including a free concert in the Mount, an incredible line-up at Baycourt, intimate gigs and more, the National Jazz Festival takes place from Monday, 20 to Sunday, 26 June this year.
