Join us on May 15, 6-7:30 in the Worship Building to celebrate the creativity of the congregation. There will be hymn singing, art exhibits, and music and dance performances. You’ll hear from Joseph Parcher, Karen Rittenburg, and Rich Smith about their short-term IMPACT trip to Honduras and Turkey and have an opportunity to make a donation. We need your help to create this fun activity! Please contact Mike Park before the end of April to submit your performance ideas or your crafts, artwork, stories and poetry. Contact Karen Rittenberg to request that hymn you love. There will also be a jigsaw exchange. What more could you ask for?

When life gets hard our natural tendency is to isolate ourselves. We may feel embarrassed and or ashamed, so we withdraw. When in actuality what we need most are those we are pulling away from. This includes God!

Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us to stay connected to one another, continuing to encourage each other as we do life together.

Psalm 63:8 encourages us to cling to God.

When you reflect back on life, you will see that those who helped you through those difficult times, your relationship with them, and God, is actually deepened.

So fight the urge to isolate and disengage. If you need help getting plugged in here at Orchard please do not hesitate to reach out to us in the Church Office! We would love to help you get connected.

Your bank most likely offers a bill pay service. Go to your bank’s website and log on to your account. Find the “Bill Pay” tab and set up a one-time or recurring payment. Your check will be mailed to the church office.

Write your own check. Make it payable to “Orchard Community Church” and drop it by or mail it to the church office.
Significant Sacrifice raised $4,025 for Lifewater's work in developing countries bringing them clean water, hygiene training, hope, and the gospel. 

Quilting Ministry Update!

We are hoping to restart the quilting ministry after a couple of years hiatus. This is a ministry that prays over and gifts handmade quilts for members in our congregation that may be experiencing a challenging time, an illness, or who are welcoming a new baby. Colleen Schulze will be heading it up and has some fun ideas for quilting get-togethers and projects. If you are interested (no prior experience necessary), please send Colleen an email at cschulze24@gmail.com. She’ll add you to the list and get you more info!

In fall 2021, a number of Orchard families signed up to sponsor a child through the World Vision program with a focus on building a relationship with the child and their family.

The Global Missions Team is hosting a potluck dinner on Saturday, May 21 at 6 pm to connect and share with each other about our relationships with the children in Florida, Honduras.

We invite you to join us for dinner to talk about your exchanges with your sponsored child and spend a few minutes writing an encouraging note to your child and their family.

All are welcome, even if you did not sponsor a child.

Come join us for a neighborhood cleanup along Telephone Road, neighboring streets and Kimball Park.

It’s easy, all ages are welcome, and it’s a great testament to our care for our community! 

Suggested items to bring:

  • Tool for picking up trash
  • Gloves
  • Water, sunscreen, & hat

This event will be a part of ACTION Ventura County’s Love VC day, which coordinates faith communities from across the county to come together in service
