It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Neryl McCallum passed away.
This news may come as a shock to many of you. Neryl had been undergoing treatment for cancer since last year and the difficult decision was made last week not to seek further treatment. Neryl’s health declined rapidly and she died on Friday.
Neryl was a friend, kindred spirit and fellow creative. She served the Centre for Music, Liturgy and the Arts with her gifts and graces. She contributed to the life of the Centre, her local congregation, Presbytery, Synod and Assembly. We are grateful for her generous spirit, gifts in writing, art, administration, leadership, preaching, intergenerational ministry and above her all her friendship and company on this journey.
Neryl’s funeral will be held at Brougham Place Uniting Church at 12:30pm on Friday, May 13th. It will also be live-streamed at bpuc.org/nerylmccallum
