After an interview with Melanie Lawson (WJXT) last week, I was a little less nervous to talk with Jordan Wilkerson (First Coast Living), and she made it easy. The segment ran Monday and you can watch it here! Plus you can hear us on Wednesday morning at 9 on First Coast Connect with Melissa Ross (WJCT), and watch us the same day on River City Livewith Rance Adams at 11 am. We’re going to enjoy our brief moment in the sun here! But more importantly...come on out for the book festival and let’s all have a good time.—JW
Jordan Wilkerson was a pleasure to talk to. Check out the video HERE.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

“We need to read women writers. We need their perspectives.... And we need to pay attention to further intersectionalism in our reading list. Are we reading women writers of color? queer women writers? those with a wide range of gender identities and expression? women writers of different income spectrums and with different bodily shapes and abilities? We need these perspectives in order to create a world that allows space for everyone, a world where having diverse perspectives is the norm rather than the exception. In these perspectives, we offer an opportunity for all those part of our community to be honored in their wholeness. —Lisa O’Neill, inWhy We Must Read Women Writers To Change the World
