This year’s graduating class of seniors is expected to enter college in a much more normal fashion than the past two years. With vaccines readily available and mask mandates mostly lifted, the class of 2022 is ready for a fresh start. However, that was not reflected in the application process, as admissions were still altered greatly by COVID-19. Assistant Editor Megan Mesikapp has the full story.

While Lane students get to perform professionally written productions throughout the year, one week each spring is dedicated to student writers. Lane’s annual Play Fest, featuring plays written and performed by students, was held on April 27 and 29, with five one-act plays being put on. For eight straight years, Lane’s Boys Lacrosse team has met the Whitney Young Dolphins in the City Championship. And for eight straight years, Young has won. But that all changed this past Friday, May 6, when Lane won — beating Young 8-3.
