Insufficient literacy impacts an adult's ability to read street signs, prescription labels, job applications and more. It also negatively impacts family income and education levels. However, high rates of insufficient literacy impacts you as well. From higher crime rates to lower property values, the literacy of our community neighbors affects us all.
With Peninsula READS being the only organization on the Peninsula that serves adults with zero to very little literacy skills, your donation will help us serve more of the 30,000 adults that need our help and provide the resources needed to help them reach their literacy goals.
