Last week, we were joined by partners, speakers, and participants for the 28th Annual Conference in Bologna and Ferrara, Italy. As we reflect on the myriad of exciting activities at the Conference- from various workshops on history education to student-led city tours, to the world cafe and also fun game nights, we also want to thank all those involved.

Following the Online Kick-Off meeting, our partners at the Max Mannheimer Study Center hosted the first in-person meeting on 8-9 April in Dachau for EuroClio’s latest project Who Were the Victims of National Socialism? Touching on the Learning Objectives of the Toolkit and the Local History Projects, as well as establishing a common methodology.

Opportunities
How can we teach students an inclusive history in relation to gender and sexuality? Until today, history curricula still mostly prioritise male-dominated narratives that marginalise the role of women and gender-nonconforming individuals. In this new thematic webinar series, we seek to bring more voices to the foreground during history lessons and explore teaching strategies that promote gender inclusivity and gender mainstreaming.

At EuroClio we are announcing a revamp in our traineeship programme, now called the Young Professional Programme. During a 9-month period, from September 2022- May 2023 recent graduates will experience the daily workings of EuroClio and specify in one of the following areas of work: Educational Resources, Professional Development, and Outreach.
