Welcome to the May edition of the Live Longer Better in Cornwall bulletin

As we move in to May we thought we'd update you on some of the great projects under way from the Live Longer Better team in 2022.

In this bulletin you'll find an invitation to the next national webinar and the recording from the previous event, information about the national 'Love to Move' Programme which we would love to see develop in Cornwall, most recent data on 'UK Health - The Hard Facts' emphasising why this area of work is so important, plus some newly developed resources packs and websites!

Thank you

LLB Thought Leadership Online Event

Here's your webinar invitation!

Wednesday 8th June: 10am - 11.30am

The Live Longer Better programme was designed to recognise that activity: physical, cognitive and emotional, is an essential part of population health management and MUST be integral to improving community health and longevity.

In our latest webinar we’re taking a consultative approach with National Clinical Directors, discussing their barriers and hurdles and understanding how physical activity can help them quantify the benefits of overcoming these problems and support delivery on their key objectives.

You can access our March webinar

Love to Move

Love to Move is an age and dementia friendly seated movement programme developed by the British Gymnastics Foundation.

The programme has its roots taken from gymnastics. Research on the programme to date has identified that Love to Move can make a significant impact on the quality of life for older people; and in particular, those living with dementia.

Could you help?

If you are interested in becoming a Licensed Love to Move deliverer, the British Gymnastics Foundation runs a training course for Love to Move.

For more information about the Love to Move Programme, to watch a short video or to download the co-ordination booklet, please visit their website.
