Green Up Day Recap + Tool Whispers

Hi Friend,

Thanks to everyone who joined our Green Up Day last weekend! We enjoyed community, the Great Outdoors and incredible... tarte-flambée?!

A big thanks to Richard Gliech and his flatbread slinging family, who served up more than 25 pies under clear blue skies! He developed Woodfyred, a very affordable, easy-to-use, portable, outdoor pizza oven in Generator's Metal Shop and has recently fine tuned his business plan in Jumpstart, Generator's selective, 10 week long boot camp for early entrepreneurs.

Join Richard and our other Jumpstart innovators next Tuesday, May 17th from 3:00-5:30PM at Generator for a celebration and entrepreneurial expo!

Members Dennis Woos and Gary Shores spent a few Green Up hours focused on tuning up our trusty, super safe, SawStop Pro 3.0 table saw. We love this machines, but over the years we've experienced some chronic issues with the tilt and elevation mechanics. Those of you who use the Wood Shop know that this tool is the sun that all others orbit around, so having a reliable machine makes a difference.

Dennis suggested we consider an upgrade to the Industrial 5.0 horsepower machine because with tools, bigger means burlier. If you support this upgrade or have other facility feedback, please get in touch with me! We want the Wood Shop to hum for you all!
Another specific thanks to Eric Roy and Alex Hahl for organizing Green Up Day 2022. You guys constantly are working on bettering our space and community and we are grateful for all your thoughtfulness and hard work. We hope to see you at Generator soon!
Place mindful KO•AN here. Next time.

Sincerely,
Elliott Katz
Operations & Facilities Director
