ICH launches the UCL Hour
Since online meetings became common, most of us have experienced back-to-back scheduling that hasn’t given us a chance to get a drink or stretch our legs in between meetings. To mitigate this, and reduce the time we all spend in meetings a little, UCL is pushing the “UCL Hour” concept as part of its “Making meetings matter” initiative, which recommends dropping five minutes from the beginning and end of regularly scheduled meeting slots of an hour or more. With the support of the IMT, we now want to drive take-up of this approach across the institute, so please consider reducing your hour-long meetings to 50 minutes. The EDI committee will lead by example, reducing its future meetings by 10 minutes in length as of now, as will other central institute committees.
