Together, Ian & I picked frozen product up from the butcher shop earlier this week.
We went alone, so does that qualify as a date? 🤔
Can you believe that 100 chickens yield 400 lbs of frozen product, the equivalent of meat produced from 1 Beef or from 3 Hogs?!😳
2022 Is the first full season (March - October) of growing chickens on our farm. In fact, we've already ordered the next two rounds of chicks for pick up later this summer.
New for this year, we're offering bulk chicken bundles for pre-order throughout the growing season.
You can find more info on those down below in the Farm Store section.⤵
It is worth mentioning, there's special introductory pricing available now through Monday 5/16, so if having a freezer stocked with farm-raised chicken sounds appealing, act now for the best pricing we'll offer.
If you've yet to try farm raised chicken, grab a package or a whole bird on your next order and give 'em a whirl.
Can I be honest with you?
I had never ate farm-raised chicken until we began growing them on our farm.
Oh. My. Word. Now I can't bring myself to go back to store bought chicken.
Up next on the farm: restocking chicken cuts in the Farm Store, cleaning out the chicken pens, scrubbing out feeders, ordering bulk feed, and re-setting the pen for a new group of baby chicks coming the 18th.
Pork Belly is now available. I can't wait to see how y'all use it!
Ground beef in stock is packaged different, with a tab top instead of vac pac. Looks a little different, still delicious. It’s not a permanent change. Shop Ground Beef >

From Kassi's Kitchen
With a package of Mild Italian Beef Brats thawed out & wanted to do something other than grill or broil them. Raw brats were sliced and sauteed for 2-3 min before being removed from the pan. Then I made a rose cream sauce by beginning with a roux, then adding chicken stock and finishing with whole milk. Leftover jarred marinara sauce was stirred in at the end for the rosy pink color. It was a hit @ our house! . -K
