Queen Street Yoga is now
Hi Branches Community,

Today we're highlighting 2 brand new courses. They were both
  • created out of a desire to serve our community better
  • based on student requests
  • developed in partnership with each teacher.
We're proud to present:
for the genuine seekers
Take a more holistic approach to your practice through the limbs of yoga that go beyond asanas (postures). Alongside discussion of philosophy, sessions will include pranayama (breathing techniques) to help you slow down, dhyana (meditation) to help you ground yourself, and gentle restorative asanas to help you calm your body and mind.
Join Shwetha Subramanya, who draws on her yoga practice, her Indian heritage, and her studies of yoga philosophy for her teaching. Shwetha has been practicing yoga for more than 25 years and teaching for five. She is also a guest faculty in The Branches 250-hour YTT sharing Sanskrit and Yogic philosophy.

JOIN THIS SPECIAL COURSE
for the young folks
The past couple of years have been weird and hard for our youth. This 6-week yoga course offers a space for teens to meet themselves with curiosity, and cultivate peace amidst the turmoil of life by energizing with movement⁠, playing with balance and strength⁠ and exploring calming stillness⁠. Welcoming to all genders and to neurodiverse teens.⁠
⁠Course instructor Danette Adams, who is a former high school teacher and guidance counsellor, will help students build a toolkit of relaxation techniques for their bodies and minds.⁠ Practices will be doable for beginner and intermediate students. Please note: this course is a compliment to but not a replacement for primary mental health care.
