Main Agenda points for Resolution: 1. Minor Changes to the Constitution to address the changes in Electoral Ward Boundaries: 2.1.4 . the boundary which encompasses the combined area of the former Canbury ward and Tudor ward. Document link
Addenda to the Constitution:
Addendum 1:To clarify point 1.3.1. We define a person who works within the Neighbourhood Area as someone who is gainfully employed such as a shop or business owner or employee. Voluntary workers within the Neighbourhood Area must be employed or affiliated with an established and operational Voluntary Sector Organisation located or represented within the designated Neighbourhood Area.
Addendum 2: Under section 58(4) of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (“the Act”) New ward arrangements for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames have been completed and will come into force at the local elections in May 2022.
The boundary of the North Kingston Neighbourhood Area will not change, but the electoral ward composition and representation will be: Tudor ward (2 councillors), Canbury Gardens (2 councillors), Kingston Gate (3 councillors).
Maps of the Neighbourhood Area boundary and an overview of the draft recommendations for Kingston upon Thames Council is included.
