READ
Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel, author of Station Eleven and The Glass Hotel, two of my favorite books, maybe ever? Ok, first things first: I'm not saying you need to read her other books to appreciate this one, but she does reference characters from previous works (again, it's not essential that you know them), and you will enjoy the whole experience 1,000x more if you read the books in order. The good news is that they read fast, but still feel important, as in, I devoured this new one in literally 2.5 hours on a plane. Sea of Tranquility is about time travel, life on the moon, and, just in case it's a trigger, a pandemic. That said, it's engrossing, clever, and life-affirming all at once. I can't say enough good things about her writing, truly!
NB: You can find every book I've read and reviewed here at Bookshop, which benefits local bookstores—not Amazon.

SAW
Funny Girl on Broadway, and while the things you've heard about Beanie Feldstein are more true than they are not, here's the thing: I just don't care what an old dude at the NYT thinks, and, to quote the great Fanny Brice (sorry I'm getting really nerdy here) nobody is gonna rain on my parade! I adore Beanie and I will root for her always. The show is fantastic, and the tap dancing is otherworldly. (I can say this bc I took a couple years of tap dance at the 92nd St Y, and that makes me an expert.) Go see it, bask in Jane Lynch's glow, and tell Beanie "Hi" for me!

COOKED
My favorite grain salad, which I usually top with baked salmon but you do you. The vibe is salty (thanks, olives) and fresh (thanks, mint) and is vegan if you care about that. It's the perfect side to bring to a BBQ or dinner party bc it also makes a ton.

VISITED
Fermented Grapes, a Black-owned wine shop in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, where I bought a bottle of co-fermented wine (that means red and white grapes fermented together, do not ask me any further questions). The shelves are painted in this cool green color, and they also sell booze, if that's your thing.

WROTE
About a chic af Pottery Barn collab for Domino

BOUGHT
Sex Ed For All hat bc Dakota Johnson wore it but also bc I love Maude. A Teva-meets-Birkenstock sandal that I plan to wear all summer bc they're so squishy-soft.

DAVIDSON-ED
Even though Pete isn't going to appear on that show with that family, his gf did call him "the sweetest, nicest human being," which, ok!

See you next week!

xx,
