  • New Hires
    • Let’s welcome Taylor Kluck who joined CIS of Mid-America on 4/25/2022 as the Student Support Coordinator at Laura Speed Elliot MS and Boonville HS in Boonville, MO.
      • Hello all! My name is Taylor Kluck and I will be the new Student Support Coordinator in Boonville, MO at the middle and high school! I was born and raised in Boonville, and I am very excited to not only be joining the CIS team but also to be giving back to this wonderful community that I call home! I attended Central Methodist University (Fayette, MO) where I graduated in 2018 with an Associate’s of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy, as well as a Bachelor’s of Health Science. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and, of course, my sweet (but sassy!) miniature dachshund, Dixie! I am a lover of Marvel movies, chocolate, and those perfect “sunny and 75” days! I am looking forward to this new journey with CIS!

We will be sending donation request letters to every community in the network with a CIS high school. In addition, we will be using our social media channels and the network-wide newsletter to announce the funding opportunity. If you receive questions about the Graduation Appeal, please have your contacts reach out to Julie Phillips at development@cismidamerica.org
  • In-Kind Shout-Outs
    • April was a big month for in-kind donations as we entered close to $45,000 worth of contributions! Three cheers for Susie Ledbetter (Westside Elementary School, Pittsburg, KS) who entered close to $20,000 in dental services from the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas as part of her school’s “Dental Week”. Anadarko, OK schools continued to leverage their incredible partnership with the Kaleo Foundation and logged over $5,500 in Teacher Appreciation goodie bags (snacks, lotions, sunblock, and more). Emmaniel Maxi (DeLaSalle High School, Kansas City, MO) collaborated with Dr. Hawks, Besler, Rogers, & Stoppel who offered free glasses and eye exams to close to 20 students valued at over $5,000. It’s not too late to enter those donations, all. We keep track of every penny donated and use it to explain our value-add in the schools and communities that we serve.
