Catechist Training for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) model builds on understanding the learning process of the 3-6 year old child and providing her/him with materials in an environment that will initiate a relationship with God. CGS is based on the work begun by Maria Montessori and further developed by Sophia Cavelletti and Gianna Gobbi in Rome.
A Catechist Training for the learning environment of 3-6 year olds is offered at Holy Cross in Deerfield on M-F June 13-17 and T-Th August 3, 4, 5 at 9:00-4:00pm.

The Bunco for Babies event was held on April 27 in the O’Gara Parish Center. The event was a huge success as we were able to donate an SUV full of baby items as well as $1,000.00 in cash, checks and gift cards.
All attendees enjoyed the evening which included laughter, socializing, playing Bunco and sampling delicious desserts. Thank you to all attenees as well as to the many parishioners who donated baby items, cash and gift cards.

Due to illness, caring for elderly parents’ needs and another commitment, half of our “Taize Angels” were unable to sing at the May 10th service. We have had to make the decision to postpone Taize to Tuesday, May 17 at 7:30.

Our Edge program allows Middle School students to engage with their faith in a comfortable and friendly environment, as well as create friendships with their peers here at St. Patrick’s Church.
We welcome your children to Peace Lab, where they will discover God's way of peace! The five Bible stories in vacation Bible school will take children on an amazing adventure in learning how to be compassionate peacemakers.
Peace Lab is a fun filled time of learning and experiences. Children will watch dramas, sing songs, play games, enjoy snacks, make crafts, and do other activities as they hear bible stories and learn about peace.
