Welcome back to your new resource for holistic financial planning.

It has been a very busy month!

Businesswise, if we had to summarize it, it has been all about Spring cleaning finances, revisiting financial plans, taking deep breaths in light of the market volatility and lots of talk about housing affordability! And in that regard, we were showcased on several media outlets:

SiriusXM - Elke Rubach was interviewed by Matt Gurney (SiriusXM Canada) on The Daily Edition to talk housing market & inflation and what the regular Canadian can do about it.

CTV - Just before the 2022 Federal Budget was released, Elke had the pleasure of speaking with Lois Lee and CTV News about Housing and what Canadians can (should) do now.

Financial Post - A take on spring cleaning your finances will help ensure you're working for what matters most to you.

Toronto Star - On how much do you need to earn to buy a home in Toronto.

Globe Advisor - On the long-term investment style that women usually follow.

Enjoy!

New this month are Personal Pension Plans ("PPP"). You may have heard of Individual Pension Plans. We are going further. Please read the article contributed by Jean-Pierre A. Laporte from Integris. It may be of interest to many of you but we should discuss whether a PPP makes sense in your case. Click here to book a meeting.

On the after-hours side of things, golf is back and we are also training for our annual Jack Ride. Join our team and have a blast while supporting youth mental health. Full disclosure (and hopefully an incentive for you to join the group), we have all gone through Covid and lung capacity isn't quite the same so we will take it very easy (you know, applying good old common sense!). That will be on May 28th. We welcome people to join our peloton or support us! Here is the link.

In closing, we remind you that our goal and commitment is that every client becomes financially independent, with a plan that represents you, what's important to you, and a clear path to achieve the goals you set for yourself and your family. If you have any topics in mind that you would like us to address in future editions, please let us know.

Most Canadians are painfully unaware that as business owners, they can use pension legislation to their advantage by setting up a PPP. In this article, we'll give you a simple illustration of how to use a PPP for tax benefits.
