The Montreal Comic Arts Festival is also an opportunity to get together with other comics professionals. Here is the program of activities that are proposed and reserved for creators, editors, and other members of the comics industry:

Comics Conference - Beyond the Two Solitudes in Canadian Comics

The conference brings together people from across the comics industry, with the objective of identifying both roadblocks and potential bridges in the area of cultural transfers in the world of comics between different cultural groups: the French and English-speaking worlds, nourished by immigration, and Aboriginal cultures.

See you on May 26 at Collège de Maisonneuve and on May 27 at Livart.

Meetup: Coffee, Comics, and Chile

Come and discover the world of Chilean comics over coffee on May 26 at 1:30 pm at the Rendez-Vous Space. For the occasion MCAF is delighted to host two guests from Chile: Vivian Lavín, journalist and editor, and Berna Labourdette, anthropologist and comic artist. This activity is offered in partnership with Prochile. A unique meetup not to be missed!
