We're looking for volunteers to help us staff the wristband stations on Friday, May 20!
We've been selected as a Wristband Partner by the Asheville Downtown Association for the Downtown After 5 series. That means we'll get a gigantic novelty check for $2000 (and tips) that will go to support the Youth Broadcasting program we're launching this fall, but it also means we need to call on our community to help us fully staff the event.
We need volunteers 21+ who can commit to taking the online responsible server course by Wednesday, May 18 and can work either from 4:30-7:15 or from 7-9:30 p.m. on Friday May 20th. We'd love for all our volunteers to be wearing an Asheville FM shirt, so if you don't already have a favorite in your wardrobe, we're offering free t-shirts to volunteers who step up to help (we're between t-shirt cycles, so limited sizes/styles are available).
You don't need to be a regular volunteer at the station, and this is a great way to meet some of the DJs and volunteers who bring Asheville FM to the airwaves every day! Sign up by Monday, May 16!
