COVID-19

Please continue to inform the school of all positive COVID-19 cases through the Covid Notification Form – which you will find on the website pop-up.  Should the pop-up not open on your screen, click the 'Show more information' button at the top of the page to navigate to the Covid information page.  To advise the absence of students who are house hold contacts of positive cases, please now follow normal absence reporting procedure and email absences@beth.school.nz   An expected date of return to school for these students would be appreciated in the email.


Staff Only Day - TOMORROW

We would like to remind you that tomorrow, Friday, 13th May is a Staff Only Day - this is an Accord day determined by the Ministry of Education and school will be closed on this day to allow our staff to undertake professional development.
 

Y7-Y13 Cross Country

Tuesday, 17th May is all set for our Y7-Y13 Cross Country event which will commence in the afternoon.  Details regarding parent attendance will be provided in the coming days. 
 

Dropping Items off for Students

Parents are reminded that any forgotten items which you may wish to drop off for your children - sports shoes, lunch, iPads etc - are to be named and dropped in the collection box in the Resource Room which is accessible from the visitor parking outside L Block for your convenience.  Please let your child know to collect from there.  Money should not be left here but taken to the school office.
 

BC Ball

Advance notification that the Y12-Y13 ball will be held on Saturday, 2nd July.  Further information will be provided to families in the coming weeks.
 

Students Driving to School

Please be reminded that your sons and daughters need to provide details of their vehicle, to obtain a pass, if they are driving to school.  It is our expectation that students will adhere to the conditions of their licence e.g. not carrying passengers on a Restricted licence etc.
 

Y13 Students

With the change to Covid restrictions, Y13 students are now permitted to leave the school grounds during timetabled study periods.  They MUST sign out at the school office.   
 

Year 7 & 9, 2023 – Apply now - Applications close on 30 June

Do you have a student who is not currently at BC, or know of friends/family who are thinking of applying to BC for 2023?  Please complete an application via our website as soon as possible.

BC Prayer Team

We are rejoicing that the prayer team can again meet in the staff room on Wednesday mornings at 8.45am. We would love you to join with us to support BC in prayer.  We also meet by zoom for those who can’t make it in person. If you would like the link for that email rosbridgman@gmail.com.

Brass Tuition

We have some instruments and slots available for beginner Brass students in Years 7-9. If you are interested in learning trumpet, trombone, french horn or tuba please email  nathan.horner@beth.school.nz. The cost for instrument hire and tuition is $70 per term.
 

Band Camp - 18th-20th May

All members of the Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Band, String Group and Chamber groups have been sent a letter home with all the Band Camp details.

Sports Colour Award Applications

Applications for Sports Colour Awards are now open.  Please click here to see the criteria and to complete the application form.  Applications close Friday, 20th May 2022 and are to be returned to the BC Sports Office.  Sports Colours are awarded for outstanding performance amounting to excellence throughout the sports inter-school season.
