Counting down to the Spring #EuroTestWeek, 16 – 23 May 2022

We are looking forward to seeing what you all have planned for next week, however, the ETW Working Group and Secretariat recognise and acknowledge that many of you are experiencing challenges which make it difficult to engage and participate in the upcoming campaign.

We continue to encourage you to support the campaign to the best of your ability to ensure equal access to testing services and linkage to care, especially for the most marginalised
populations such as refugees, migrants and key populations (for more info, read our theme statement). Also, stay tuned to our Facebook page for some videos of organisations sharing their experience overcoming barriers and challenges while supporting marginalised populations.

If you’re able to participate or show your support, don’t forget to:
  • Sign-up on the new ETW website
  • Download the 2022 Spring ETW logo (available in 15 different languages including: Czech, Finnish, French, Georgian, German, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish Turkish, and Ukrainian.
  • Remember to use our hashtags #EuroTestWeek, #TestTreatPrevent and to tag us @EuroTestWeek on Twitter and Facebook, if you promote your Testing Week activities on social media.

New special ETW survey assessment

We’re doing things differently this year! Instead of sharing a survey after ETW to evaluate your activities, we have developed a NEW survey to assess how you value the ETW initiative.

This survey is completely different from what we have developed before.

We are asking ALL past and current organisations who have EVER participated in ETW to complete this survey. You do not have to be an active participant to provide feedback.

As an incentive to complete the survey, the EuroTEST secretariat is offering 2 separate ETW participants the chance to win a trip to the next HepHIV Conference taking place in Madrid, Spain from 13 – 15 November 2023. Terms & Conditions do apply.

❕The deadline to complete this survey is 6 June 2022.

Is your organisation on the European Test Finder?

With the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and the Eastern European region, it is especially important to have your site on the new European Test Finder (ETF) to help displaced people find their nearest place for testing, treatment and other supportive services related to HIV, viral hepatitis, STIs, and tuberculosis.

ETF is in the process of being expanded to include information about sites that offer HIV treatment, testing and treatment for tuberculosis, and opioid substitution therapy, with plans to also include hepatitis treatment sites. This is a result of a collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for Europe which aims to ensure continued provision of treatment for Ukrainians displaced by the conflict.

If you provide any of these services, please check if your site is already listed on ETF (click here). If not, please make sure to sign-up (click here) and provide information about your services.

Standardized protocol for clinical management and medical data-sharing for Ukrainian refugees living with HIV (2022)

This protocol sets out recommend principles of clinical management and describes how medical data related to care can be shared among health professionals engaged in providing medical care for refugees from Ukraine who are living with HIV and who are seeking care in other European countries
