Power of the Ancients tells the story of our future world where civilization has collapsed to a near stone-age level. When an operational energy weapon from our time is discovered, factions fight to obtain it. Their key to finding this power is a teenaged apprentice shaman-turned-warrior, who struggles to find his way in a world of competing ideologies, mentors, loyalties, and desires.
I postulated the future world of Power of the Ancients from my considering of the world's current trajectory to a dystopia and following collapse. I fear there will be forces forever seeking to restore dystopia. Any resistance will be from good people who remain in touch with the natural world. If such themes touch you, I hope you'll read and review my novel.
