We are hiring for a Visitor Information Advisor under the Canada Youth Summer Jobs Program again this summer!

We are looking for someone aged 15 to 30 who is going back to school in the fall of this year. You will be working 30-35 hours a week, with a primary focus on Thursday to Monday over the summer. The successful candidate will have an outgoing personality, have extensive knowledge of attractions, events and the lower Sunshine Coast, and excel at working with minimum supervision.

Arena Advertising Opportunities

Recreation facilities are back in full swing and now is the time to secure advertising space at SCRD arenas in Sechelt and Gibsons. Keep your business top of mind and reach over 70,000 annual visitors with sideboard advertising at these facilities.

Arena advertisements are highly visible during practices, games, amateur sports events, special events, as well as day-to-day operations and programming. One-, two-, and three-year terms are available.

The New 2022/2023 Purple Banner Studio and Gallery Tour Guide has a whole new look and has increased in size this year representing over 85 Artist businesses and supporters.

The Guide has been produced since 2001 and can be found on BC Ferries, Visitor Centres, and many businesses on the Sunshine Coast and is well used by visitors and local residents alike.

This year we have organized 5 launch parties to celebrate the release of the new Guide. We would love you to join us at one of the locations and get your Purple On.

There will be lots of fun and easy activities on site for kids of all ages including a large paint by number canvas from ‘Paintillio’ from artwork by Jan Poynter.

There will be an artist demo on each site and paper for colouring, drawing and making art and a chance to win great prizes from our Purple Banner artists and the host breweries and cideries themselves with a grand prize of a Tour for 4 with Sunshine Coast Art Tours in their beautiful bus.

It is a fun time to mingle, get to know your local art community and take the new Purple Banner Studio and Gallery Tour Guide home or take a few and share them with friends or your place of business. They are a great resource to use for exploring the hidden treasures on the Sunshine Coast.
