Getting Ready!
There is lots to do to get the whole building ready for our return to full use of the premises from 5 June!  There is a lot of 'stuff' to move around and back into its proper place.  There is a lot of cleaning to be done.  If you could offer to help with any of this, please contact Daniel.  Thank you!
Celebration and Commissioning Event
Saturday 25 June | 10.00am - 12 noon
We plan to hold a special event on this day to give thanks to God for the completion of the OIKODOM 2 project, to rejoice together for this refurbished space, and to thank everyone who has been involved in bringing the project from its planning to completion.

We Are Open!
In anticipation of the full opening up of GBC from the beginning of June, we plan to leaflet every household in Godmanchester with information about us and the activities that take place at GBC. Please contact the Office if you would be willing to help with distribution of the leaflets in one or more streets by the end of May.
Grace Fellowship
Being able to use Grace Fellowship while the building work at GBC has been onging has been such a blessing.
Praise the Lord!
The question now is how does God want us to use the building once GBC is fully open?
We plan a Prayer and Vision afternoon on Sunday 26 June from 2.00pm - 4.00pm
to pray and reflect on this.
All are welcome.
Coffee after Sunday Morning Celebrations
We are so thankful for the faithful way in which Helen, Chris and James have provided coffee for many weeks now at Grace Fellowship. As we return to East Chadley Lane we would like to return to having a rota of teams who set up and serve the coffee each week. This is a big part of the Sunday morning ministry and has always been much appreciated and well received. I would be very pleased to hear from anyone who would like either to be a Team Leader or to serve on one of the teams. The commitment is not huge, I am hoping we can get 6 teams which means each will be on duty once every 6 weeks (approximately twice a term). This means that it is not onerous for any one. If you previously had a heart for this ministry and would like to return to it or if you are maybe new to the church I would love to hear from you! It is a lovely way of getting to know people. Please contact me by email (anne.ambler@ntlworld.com) or email or ring the church Office (458565). Many thanks! Anne Ambler
Please continue to pray for Sheena Glanville and the family.  Charles' funeral will be held at Huntingdon Crematorium next Wednesday (25 May) at 2.30pm, with refreshments afterwards at Grace Fellowship from 4.00pm.  All are welcome to attend.
Church Members' AGM will be held at 7.30pm on Monday 20 June at Godmanchester Baptist Church. Further details to follow.

Thy Kingdom Come & Queen's Jubilee

THY KINGDOM COME
An email was sent out last week inviting you to be part of a global prayer initiative called 'Thy Kingdom Come' happening from Ascension Day (Thursday 26 May) until Pentecost (Sunday 5 June) in which each of us commits to praying for 5 people during those 11 days. Resources to help you with this are available from Carolyn and the church office - see the email for details.

Prayer Walk
On Saturday 4 June at 10.00am we will have a prayer walk in and around Godmanchester when we will pray together for the work and people of our community. There will be several ‘prayer stations’, so those with more limited mobility can also join in by car.

QUEEN'S JUBILEE
The email also provided information on our plans for celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee from Thursday 2 - Sunday 5 June. As part of these celebrations we will have copies of a commemorative book ‘Our Faithful Queen – 70 years of Faith and Service’, to give away to friends and neighbours (Price £1 per copy).
From Thursday 2 June to Saturday 4 June we plan to get involved with Hope Together’s ‘70 Acts of Service’, an initiative to bless and serve our communities with practical help and other kindnesses. And on Pentecost Sunday (5 June) we will celebrate our Queen’s faithful reign at our morning Celebration service and then join other Godmanchester Churches for a joint open air service at 3.00pm on the Recreation ground by the Chinese Bridge.
Happy Birthday
Birthdays coming up in the next few weeks are as follows

24 May - Rachel Johnson
31 May - Pat Jones

24 June - Jo Hitchins
The Worship Area and Resources Room remain out of bounds while the building work continues. Please do not access GBC through the side entrance in Clyde Yard. In the event of an emergency and a need to vacate the building, exit through the fire door in the kitchen and make your way to the front car park - avoid using the fire door in the Worship Area foyer.
Bluntisham Baptist Church is holding an Open Day on Saturday 21 May, with activities and tea & coffee from 11.00am onwards, and at 3.00pm a time of thanksgiving and celebration of the church's Next Steps project. For further details contact: Michelle Gore (michelle.gore@bluntishambaptist.org), 01487 843538.
