Dear KIA Community, 亲爱的KIA社群：

KIA is proud to announce the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2022 will be held on 28 May 2022, at 3:00 pm in the school auditorium. To ensure enough seating for the seniors, their families, other students, and the staff, tickets are needed for admission to the ceremony. If you want to come, please contact a senior or the secondary office to see if tickets are available.

KIA很荣幸地告知各位，2022届高中毕业典礼将于2022年5月28日下午3点在学校礼堂举行。为了确保给毕业生及其家人、其他学生和教职员工预留充足的座位，本次典礼需有门票才能入场。如果您想来参加，请联系毕业生或中学部办公室查看是否有余票。

This will be the 27^th graduation ceremony for Kunming International Academy. It is our honor to celebrate the senior class and their achievement of such a major milestone in life’s journey. Our team eagerly awaits to celebrate this day with every student who attends our academy. One day it will be your child’s turn!

Thank you all for using the KIA library.

A library inventory will take place during the next three weeks, so no books will be checked out during the last three weeks of school.
I will be sending letters to anyone who does have books out. Please return them by May 20^th so that there will be no fines.

Dear KIA Middle School Parents,
尊敬的KIA初中部家长们：

KIA 6^th-8^th grade students will take assessments called Measures of Academic Progress™ (MAP) May 16^th-20^th. MAP is a computerized assessment given to determine your child’s instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the year. This format allows KIA to observe learning growth from fall to spring and from one year to the next. The assessments include the areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.
KIA 6 - 8年级的学生将在5月16-20日参加学习进展评估测试 (MAP)。MAP实行机考，测试用以确定您孩子的受教水平及衡量其全年的学业长进。这种考试模式让KIA可以观察到学生从秋季到春季、及一年到下一年的学习进展。测试包括英语语言艺术、数学和科学。

MAP assessments are unique in that they adapt to your child’s level of learning. As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and maintain a positive attitude toward testing. A benefit of MAP testing is that we can administer a shorter assessment, use less class time, and still receive detailed, accurate information about your child’s growth. Your child’s growth and achievement data will be available shortly after the testing period has ended.
MAP考试的特别之处在于它契合您孩子的学习水平。因此，每个学生都有相同的机会获得成功，并保持积极的态度对待考试。MAP考试的一个好处是我们可以采取较短的考试，利用更少的课堂时间，同时收集到学生们详尽准确的学习进展信息。考试周期结束不久后，您将收到您孩子的学业进展和分数成绩。

Please make sure your child is present at school when his or her grade level is scheduled. Also, a good night’s rest and healthy breakfast is a great way to start a MAP day.
