Campus Life Staffing Update
Please join us in congratulating Akash Altman as he prepares to leave Brown on June 30th. Akash joined Campus Life in 2020 as the Campus Life Fellow, and in 2021 took on the additional role of the Special Assistant to the Vice President for Campus Life. During this time, he built bridges between students and administrators through fostering leadership development, engaging with student advocacy, and creating educational programs. Akash partnered with student leaders to build and oversee new initiatives like the Campus Life Student Advisory Board, JUST Lead, and the Disability Justice Student Initiative.

Now Hiring: Campus Life Fellow
The Division of Campus Life is pleased to announce an exciting full-time opportunity. The Campus Life Fellow works closely with the Campus Life Senior Leadership team. The Fellow will support opportunities for the Division to connect with Brown students in building community through program activities and engagement opportunities.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree plus one year of relevant experience in the development and implementation of programs aimed at undergraduate students, either as a student leader/organizer or via professional experience post-graduation.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) Awards
We welcome nominations to SAS's four annual awards that recognize faculty, staff and students who exemplify the best in enhancing accessibility at Brown.
Summer Hours Begin on May 31st
During the summer, regular and fixed-term full-time staff have the benefit of working 35 hours a week, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m, with an hour for lunch and the same pay. Please note that part-time staff do not reduce their hours in the summer and must work at least 3 hours on each day they work. Note also that individual department observance of summer hours is determined by the department head.

Staff Development Day on June 15th
A tradition at the university for twenty-six years, Staff Development Day is for Brown staff to invest in their personal and professional growth, increase their knowledge about the university, and gain a better understanding of faculty research. Sessions are facilitated by staff and faculty and will include live streamed and virtual sessions as well.

The University will provide three Employee Appreciation Days this summer - in addition to regular summer hours - and an extended Winter Break in recognition of the tremendous dedication and contributions of Brown employees.

Staff members can now add their pronouns and/or the pronunciation of their name in Workday. Follow these steps to update your record.

Did you know you could use your Brown ID to recieve free admission to the RISD Museum as well as the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston? See the Brown Arts Institute website for more information on local arts opportunities available with your Brown ID.
