As we emerge from a rather cold and wet Winter, the days start getting longer, and the sun appears more frequently; I reflect that it has been a time of renewal at Common Equity.
 
Our team has changed, with Chantelle going on maternity leave and Laura saying goodbye. I was delighted to welcome Rachael and Christine to the team, who both bring valuable lived experience of housing co-op life.
 
Our second development project looks gorgeous, and I am so happy for PEACH.

Observations & involvement over 30+ years in Community Housing by Elaine Henn
Community Housing  was something I did not know about or could even have dreamt of...
Common Equity SA is supporting the University of Western Sydney research project "Articulating the Value of Housing Cooperatives" to build an evidence base about the benefits of housing co-operatives to provide a rationale for government policy support and the growth of our sector.  In the first phase of this project, co-ops were invited to complete a time-use survey over 12 weeks to record their activities and the time spent running the co-op.
