Spring is here and May looks like an exciting month! Hello everyone, As previously noted, we have taken a business decision to periodically dispense with our monthly e-Newsletter as we know these take quite a while to read and that everyone is very busy, especially after the Easter holidays and the May bank holiday weekend. We hope you find this short and snappy e-Postcard to your liking! May is certainly shaping up to be an exciting month, with lots happening in the respective worlds of clinical audit, quality improvement and patient safety. There are two big clinical audit conferences looming into view and we are speaking at both. On 19 May, Healthcare Conferences have lined up an exceptional group of speakers for their annual Improvement Summit and you can find out more here. The following week, we hope to join many of you in Manchester for the first-ever Audit Management and Tracking conference. We are very excited that this will be a face-to-face event and hear there are still a few free places available. Why not check the AMaT twitter and website for more details? Sadly, we have had to postpone our next Learn at Lunch scheduled for 5 May. Rest assured the session on SEIPS (Systems Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety) will take place in the next few months. Our speaker had to cancel at short notice, we wish her well. Given that the early adopters are due to report back on the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework in June, this might be fortuitous. Please note - we will not run any further Learn at Lunch sessions until after #CAAW22. It is worth pointing out that the Big Conversation takes place from 11-12 May. The line-up of speakers for this virtual event is amazing and includes Don Berwick. Find out more here. On a final note, we are revving up our engines in anticipation of Clinical Audit Awareness Week and we plan to make significant announcements week commencing 23 May so please keep track of our website and Twitter. The response to our long service awards has been phenomenal and we are still looking to hear from more of you who have worked in clinical audit for 10 years plus.
