Hope you had a good weekend! Me, I'm spending all my free time playing with this new toy:

I didn't know a thing about sewing clothes so I’ve been taking classes at Atelier de Costura Portuense, and making a dress from a pattern Marina (the teacher) created.

Meanwhile, remember how a few months ago I was applying for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship? Well, the results were announced and I didn't get it. :-( *sad trombone noise* It’s a bummer, I'm a bit sad, but on the plus side I did get accepted in another school, the Graphic Storytelling Master at LUCA in Brussels. Now, I’m applying to even more scholarships (this is a never-ending nightmare of motivation letters) to try to get some financial support to study there. The chances are low, but we’ll see!

On a happier note, last week I finally managed to film a video flipping through the pages of my Berlin sketchbook! I'm very surprised by how long it took me to make a video I didn't hate, and have a renewed respect for everyone who does these things:

I'm realizing now how much this month was full of trying out new things. From sewing to filming, it was full of the excitment of learning something and also the despair of making all of the mistakes and having to redo a million times.

On other news, I'll be going to Lisbon this weekend! With a workshop!
|

It's a creative writing and illustration workshop based on Edward Lear's Book of Nonsense. We will read the book and learn to write and illustrate our own limericks!

Finally, my friends Moxila and Éme released a new album recently, and I'm in love with this song and video. Thought maybe you would like it too!
