On this bright spring morning we heard special music from our choir and organist Steve McCullough. Chuck Shutt assisted and read from Isaiah 16. Ellie Templeton’s Children’s Lesson asked children to think about the most influential woman in their lives, in honor of Mother’s Day today. She reminded them that the Bible says to obey your parents and honor thy father and mother.
In his sermon “Plain Speaking” minister Mike Riggins read from John 10, Jesus’ interaction with the Jewish leaders. Jesus said he had performed miracles yet they did not believe he was the son of God. They were not in his flock. Ask yourself the question, “Am I going to accept Jesus as the Messiah?” We must all take that leap of faith and accept Jesus as our savior.
